What counts as a search?
One rate or oversize cost calculation. Building the truck and pricing the same load together is one search — and re-running the same lane within 24 hours doesn't count again. Browsing saved quotes, State Regs, and OD 101 never touches your meter.
How accurate is RateAssist?
It's a place to start, not a rate authority. The algorithm is built on real booked loads and live market signals, and it's often close — but freight moves daily, and no starting number replaces a broker's judgment. Treat it like a sharp first draft: anchor, adjust, book. The permit, escort, and restriction numbers are a different animal — those are built from state DOT sources and statutes, and that precision is the heart of the product.
What happens if we run out of searches?
You're never locked out mid-quote. Add a credit pack — $25 for 25 extra searches — or upgrade in one click. Unused pack credits roll into the next month.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes — a free account includes 2 oversize and 2 legal searches with full, real results (verified business email required). If the numbers don't match what you'd have built by hand, don't subscribe.
Can I cancel anytime?
Month-to-month plans cancel anytime and run through the end of the billing period. Annual plans get two months free and renew yearly.
